I’ve been working this week with Arielle Cutrara and Matt Kennedy to get our church web site updated. There have been several cool new additions: discussion forum, pastors blog, audio sermons online, sermon notes, and other fun stuff.

Michael Fletcher was at Grace Church this weekend. He did a great sermon on [...]

I posted a photo gallery for Rocky & Shery Armstrong this morning. They were in Romania teaching a marriage and family conference to gypsies (with John & Jane Wooley). It’s amazing what God did during this time. The gypsy culture is very needy for good teaching and examples of godly marriage and family.

BIRDIE TIME!
Kendrick Jr. drained his first birdie today. It was no. 8, par 3, 108 yards at The Challenge in Graham, NC. He teed off with his “fairway flyer” (basically a 7 wood). His drive rolled to about 5 feet. He had a slight uphill breaking left to right putt. It went down and we [...]

Gabriela is 3!
Today is Gabriela’s birthday. She went to church this morning with Grammie. Nana had to stay home as Joseph was sick. After her nap, I took her out to the park and to Chuck E. Cheese. She talked on the phone for a long time with Grandpa and Grandma in Minnesota. We partied [...]

My favorite mentoring book is “Pleasures Evermore” by Sam Storms. Nathan Fancher and I have studied it together (the two of us, with Mali, and now on campus at UNC). Nathan loves the book and sent a copy to his dad in Ohio. His dad is a worship pastor at a Vineyard church.
Nathan calls [...]

Bow season began yesterday in central North Carolina (our region). Joseph and I hit the woods. We saw two deer walking to the stand but that was all. It was a beautiful peaceful evening. Great being outside with Joseph. He got to try out his new gear from his hunting birthday party. We played handheld [...]

We had a great time on Joseph’s birthday (Sept. 9th). The theme was hunting. Joseph and his buddies shot the bow, tracked a deer (actually candy) through the woods, and shot balloons with the pellet gun.
Aliesha had her delayed birthday party with friends today. We had cute games, and she was delighted to [...]

I played golf with Joseph yesterday at UNC’s Finley Golf Course. I made the turn at 38, and was really hitting the ball well. I missed a couple putts in the 3-6 foot range. After 15, I was sitting at 4 over [...]

My parents biked in a 31 mile race yesterday in St. Paul, MN. They’re looking pretty good for getting up at 5:00 a.m. and biking 31 miles.
My dad golfed three times this past week. Sounds like they’re enjoying retired life, huh?!
